Wind, rain or shine, caloundra is a great fishing spot with numerous locations for the beginner and experienced angler. Caloundra is one of the few places on the Coast which has locations for every weather condition - a surf beach, a bar to cross, mangrove creeks and deep drop-offs in the channel. The beauty of fishing at Caloundra is that creeks, sand banks and channels can also change and morph into new structures in a matter of weeks. For this reason there are many new locations to discover and always provide a challeneg for anglers.

Some of the more well known fishing areas are:

The BAR - deep water areas just sinside the mouth, North of Bulcock st

The BOARDWALK - easy-access area lies along the depest part of the channel and at the beginning of the bend in the passage.

The BLUE HOLE - only accessible by boat, top place for fishing flatheads

BELLS CREEK - acessible by 4WD. Has sand and mangrove banks that attracts whiting, bream and flathead.

There are also many places for the younger anglers including two never fail spots:

MILITARY JETTY - located on the Esplanade at Golden Beach, restricts kids to fishing off the bank only. Safe and well shaded area

PELICAN WATERS CANALS - access the fish from bidge, jetties, off teh bank and by boat. The entrance is home to the bigger fish
