Ulysses Sunshine Coast Branch Annual Toy & Tucker Ride

This year for the first time the annual Toy & Tucker Charity will commence at both ends of the Sunshine Coast with the event starting in both Caloundra and Noosa Junction. The Caloundra group of bikes will leave Stocklands Bowman Rd at 10am make its way along Golden Beach Esplanade , Nelson St , Pelican Waters Blvd, along Nicklin way, Brisbane Rd, Mooloolaba Esp. and then into Buderim Mooloolaba Rd to travel thru Buderim down Crosby Hill Rd and onto the Ettamogah at Aussie World at Palmview.

The ride commencing at the public Carpark adjacent to the Noosa J Theatre in Noosa Drive Noosa Junction will leave at 10am and will head down David Low Way thru the beachside suburbs all the way down the Pacific Paradise onto the Motorway and will meet the Caloundra Ride the Ettamogah where the donations of Books, Toys and Non Perishable food items will be collected.

This year the ride will be in aid of the Pyjama Foundation - The Pyjama Foundation was founded in 2004 to support foster carers and provide extra help with our community's most vulnerable children. In - There are 31,000 children in care in Australia. The Pyjama Foundation recruits, screens, trains and supports volunteers from the community - our Pyjama Angels- who visit with foster children to read, do puzzles, even homework with them, and nurture a love of learning in them.

So we encourage the donation of books for children 0-17 yrs to assist with the literacy program as well as toys & non Perishable food items.

The public are encouraged to join in by supporting the event along the route with the best vantage points being along Golden Beach Esp., Nelson St, Nicklin Way, Brisbane Rd, Mooloolaba Esp., Mooloolaba Buderim Rd, and King St Buderim.

Those on the northern end of the coast can join in along the way with the best vantage points being Noosa Junction, along David Low Way at Peregian beach, Coolum Beach, Mt Coolum, Marcoola Mudjimba and Pacific Paradise.

We also invite the public to join in the fun at the Ettamogah where we expect to arrive at around 11.30 for displays, face painting and live entertainment and raffle draw.

Vikki Newton from Designs 4 Living will judge the best decorated bike and local band Spilt Wine will entertain.
