

On Saturday 19th September 2010, the Queensland Air Museum will mark the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
The Museum will have open for inspection a Mk Vc Spitfire. Note a fee will apply to sit in the Spitfire Mk Vc: Adult $5.00 Famil $10.00 (standard museum admission also applies).
On display will be material relating to the Battle of Britain including uniforms, instrumental panels from a Spitfire & Bf 109 & other memorabilia.
The museum has on display a Spitfire Mk I representation. This aircraft is almost identical to the type operated during the Battle of Britain.
21 Australian pilots flew during the Battle of Britain & 14 of those were killed in action.
