Why not treat your father to an enjoyable variety concert on his special day - Fathers Day!
Come along to the CCSA Hall in Nutley St, Caloundra and pay only $9 (which includes afternoon tea) and see top artists such as Gypsy Fire. This duo of Imre on violin and Ken on keyboard are well known and loved as top class professional entertainers. Young Sophia la Selva will also perform. The professional entertainer Joy Darmody is back by special request to perform 4 comedy numbers in costume. Conservatorium Baritone Kelsey Brookes will sing some impressive songs from the musicals and the "Master of Swing", namely Alan Winter will certainly entertain.
Of special interest will be young singer Erica Bocchino who has recently excelled in the Youth Eisteddfod. Regular performers Bev Gourlay and Aart Schouten will sing solos and duets accompanied by the irrepressible Neil Booth on the grand piano. The concerts always end with Bev singing the verse of very well known old songs, and asking the audience with "What song is this"?
These concerts raise funds for the Caloundra Chorale, and have been in operation for approx 30 years. They're always full of fun and talent, so come along on Fathers' Day (September 4th) at 2pm to the CCSA Hall, Nutley St., Caloundra. There's no need to book, just arrive around 1.30pm to get a seat and buy a raffle ticket.
