Memories Are Made of This

Sun 12 Jun 2011

The Sunshine Coast Concert Band loves to play tunes that are familiar and exciting to its audience, and so they will present a "Musical Memories" concert at 2pm on Sunday 12th June at the Caloundra Uniting Church, Queen Street.

As usual, there'll be 2 hours of wonderful band numbers and different musical styles - including Swing, Dixie, Irish and Spanish tunes, and favourite songs such as Granada, Lucky Old Sun, As Time Goes By, Sweet Caroline - an exciting variety!

The compere is Graham Schulz, with singers Alan Winter, Bev Gourlay, Aart Schouten and Ken Farrow.

The band gives this annual concert in appreciation of the Cittamani Hospice's wonderful support and palliative care facilities. After last year's concert, the Music Director, Ken Chadwick OAM was able to present a cheque for $3,210 to Alex Moore, Director of the Hospice group.

Cittamani has helped many members of our community, and this is an opportunity to say thank you by supporting this charity and this local excellent band.

Admission at the door is $12 which includes a delicious afternoon tea.
