Pleasant Sunday Afternoon Concert

Sun 3 Jul 2011

The next PSA concert is at 2pm on July 3rd at the CCSA Hall, Nutley St. Caloundra.

Talented performers and fun will be rolled into a most enjoyable concert - as usual.

The "Manhatten Swing" instrumental duo will set the toes tapping, while Elaine Hitchcock will actually tap dance across the stage.

Swing singer Dave Stygall (a Senior Idol winner) will show his expertise, as will young Rebel Lyons singing songs such as "Downtown" and "Someone to watch over me".

Currently Kelsey Brookes is rehearsing the choir (while the Chorale's Music Director, Sarah Sullivan is involved with "The Little Shop of Horrors"). Kelsey will showcase his conservatorium-trained voice with some songs from the Musicals Chess and The Secret Garden.

Singers Carmel Sobey and Fred Negus will bring some comedy songs to the programme, and regular singers Bev Gourlay and Aart Schouten will complete the smorgasboard of artists and items.

Since the usual pianist, Neil Booth, is the Music Director for the "Little Shop", Beryl Meyers will be at the piano.

Admission at the door is $9 or $5 for Chorale Members and Friends, and this includes afternoon tea, and proceeds are for the Caloundra Chorale. There's no need to book, just arrive around 1.30pm to get a seat and buy a raffle ticket.
