

Sound Support is a one-off concert featuring headline acts John Butler Trio and Kate Miller-Heidke. The event at full capacity is expected to raise over $200,000 for the Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal, which will be disbursed to the people affected by the natural disasters in Queensland from December 2010 to February 2011. The program -
Tickets are $68 for adults, $40 for youth (13-17 years), $40 for pensioners and $10 for children (12 years and under). Note: There is a $2 booking fee per ticket.
Purchasing tickets
Tickets will be available from 10.00 am on Friday 15 April. For your convenience there are a number of ways you can purchase tickets to this event.
Online
Caloundra Music Festival (CMF) is supporting this event through the provision of its online ticketing system. You can purchase tickets online from the Caloundra Music Festival website www.caloundramusicfestival.com.au.
You will need to register to become a Festival Member prior to purchasing however if you are already a member of CMF, you can use your existing sign-in details.
These are print-at-home Etickets, so please ensure you have access to a printer. Tickets are available for purchase right up until John takes the stage!
Walk-in sales
You can purchase tickets at one of the following council venues:
Tickets are on sale until Friday 13 May 2011 between 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.
At the gate
There may also be the opportunity to purchase tickets on the day from noon until 6.00 pm.
Cancellations
Tickets can be refunded if requested, otherwise proceeds will go to the Queensland Premiers Disaster Relief Fund. Refunds must be requested within five days of the event.
Transport
Council is negotiating shuttle buses and additional transport services.
Wet weather
In the event of extreme bad weather, the event will be cancelled.
If concert is cancelled the call will be made by event officials on the day of the event. Information will be available on this webpage and via local community and commercial radio stations.
Food / drink / alcohol
There will be a licensed area within the event site that will be patrolled by security. You must be 18+ to consume an alcoholic beverage – please ensure you bring along a valid and current photo ID (a passport, license or proof of age card). All alcoholic drinks must be kept within the designated bar area.
Food will be available for purchase and there will be a range of food and drink on offer, as well as the many restaurants and cafes around town.
You may bring food and any type of non-alcoholic drink into the event. Please ensure that anything you bring is either in paper or plastic containers – no glass or eskies are permitted.
What to bring
Sun protection. Hat, shirt, sunscreen and lots of water.
Money and your tickets.
ID – you must present your ID on entry to the event to validate age for the purpose of concessions and entry to licensed areas.
Medication – there will be St John's services for emergencies, but bring any medications/treatments you might require if you suffer from a serious illness or condition, such as epilepsy or asthma.
Remember to include your contact details on any medication.
Chairs – but make sure you keep them to the back of the park. The area in front of the stage is a chair free zone.
