Saturday 28th August - Kayaking the Currimundi 9.30 - 11.00am
Enjoy the serenity of a slow paddle along the Currimundi with Currimundi Catchment Care Group. On a circuit of the lake look at some of the restoration work there and paddle up Currimundi Creek as far as we can go. Urbanisation is rapidly enroaching on the waterways and the best way to enjoy the last remaining borders of native wet and dry ecosystems and understand the pressures on the system is from the water. Equipment - bring own kayak or canoe but only paddling allowed. No motors. No safety equipment is provided. Participants must be competent as paddlers.
