Categories include open, ladies, juniors and also an open wave ski and expression session.
The Surk Kayak World Cup is a series of 5 qualifying events held in various countries throughout the world, leading to a final for the top ranked paddlers invited from eligible classes. Surk kayaking is an exciting sport with aerial tricks, big turns with lots of splash and easy for the spectator to relate to. The paddlers sit in the craft with a water tight skirt attached to the cockpit so they remain relatively dry in manoeuvres and roll-overs. There will also be an expression session where surf kayakers will compete against waveski paddlers (sit on) for the best tricks and air.
