Medical services

Public hospitals are located at Caloundra, Maleny, Nambour, Noosa and Gympie, and private hospitals are located at Caloundra, Buderim, Nambour, Noosa and Gympie. Medical centres are located throughout the coast and emergency services can be contacted by dialling 000.

Surf safety

Lifeguards patrol all major beaches and it is advisable to swim between the flags on patrolled beaches. Visit the Best Beaches page for detailed information on each beach.

Caloundra has a range of accommodation, venues, facilities and services for visitors with special access needs. Please contact the Sunshine Coast Visitor Information Centres on 1800 700 899 or (07) 5420 6240 seven days a week during regular business hours for assistance.
